WHAT THIS IS.

Portrait Day is a single-day portrait event, offered four times a year. Editorial portrait sessions for professionals, leaders, and founders ready for imagery that actually represents who they are and where they're going. Standard Joe Friend portrait sessions run 2-3 hours and cost $1,500 to $3,000. Portrait Day makes that level of work accessible at a fraction of that, without compromising quality or changing anything about what happens in front of the camera. Choose the format that fits: a focused 30-minute session, a full hour with room to try more than one look, or a three-hour session built for the professional who wants the complete experience.

This is for the founder whose LinkedIn photo is from a different chapter. The executive who cringes every time their image shows up on a panel announcement or a company page. The leader, the operator, the creative, the consultant who has put in the work and stepped into their authority, and whose portrait hasn't caught up yet.

This is not what most people expect walking in. I intentionally steer this away from anything stiff, generic, or forgettable. This is a portrait session. Your portrait session.

From the moment you walk in, the focus is entirely on you: your energy, your presence, how you want to be seen. You'll pick your music. You'll get real direction throughout, not just poses but genuine guidance that changes how you show up on camera. The whole team is in your corner.

WHAT YOU GET.

Three ways to book Portrait Day this quarter. Every tier includes full creative direction throughout your session and full commercial usage rights on your finished images.

• STANDARD — 30-minute session. 3 professionally retouched final images. $399.

• PLUS — 1-hour session. 6 professionally retouched final images. $699.

• FOUNDER — 3-hour session. 15 professionally retouched final images. $1,299.

A $50 deposit reserves your date and tier. The remaining balance is due 1 week before your session.

Q3 Portrait Day is offered on two dates this quarter: Friday, October 2, 2026 and Saturday, October 3, 2026. Reserve whichever day works best for your schedule. Once demand is in, I'll confirm which day, or both, are running, and follow up directly with everyone who's reserved.

Is your style too fashion-forward for a corporate or professional setting?

t's a fair question, and one that comes up more than you'd think. The short answer: no. The longer answer is worth understanding. I've shot over 1,000 portraits, the majority for professionals, executives, and corporate leaders. My work is about making someone look like the most compelling version of themselves, in whatever context they operate in.

My background in advertising, editorial, and fashion means I bring a level of craft, intention, and image-making to every session that most portrait photographers simply don't. The result isn't a fashion photo. It's the kind of portrait that looks like it belongs in a Forbes feature, an Inc. profile, or a Harper's Bazaar interview, because that's exactly the standard I hold every image to.

Which session length is right for me?

All three work. STANDARD's 30 minutes is more than enough. After photographing over 1,000 people, I know exactly what it takes to make a compelling portrait, and how quickly it can happen when the environment is right. My average time per person on a corporate set runs about 3 to 5 minutes, so 30 minutes gives us plenty of room to settle in, find your best light, and land images you're proud of. PLUS and FOUNDER exist for people who want more: more time in front of the camera, room to try more than one look, or a broader range of finished images to work with. If you're weighing STANDARD against a longer session, think about how many contexts your portrait needs to cover. One strong image is a lot of range for most people. If you're building out a full library, FOUNDER gives you the most to choose from.

How is the portrait session structured?

Your STANDARD session breaks down like this: the first 5 minutes are for arriving, getting settled, picking your music, and getting any last-minute direction before we shoot. The next 20 minutes are yours in front of the camera. The final 5 minutes are for wrapping up, reviewing a few frames, and transitioning out. It's a tight, intentional format, and after 1,000+ portraits, I can tell you that 20 minutes of focused camera time is more than enough to make something great.

PLUS and FOUNDER follow the same rhythm, just with more room: more time in front of the camera, and space to change your look partway through if you want to.

Why so few images?

Because the images you'll actually use are worth more than a stack you won't.

Every image I deliver is a deliberate choice: selected, retouched, and finished to a standard where any one of them could run in a publication, anchor a website, or represent you in a room you haven't walked into yet. These aren't proofs. They aren't options. They're the strongest frames from your session, finished to the same level I'd deliver to a national brand.

STANDARD gives you three. PLUS gives you six. FOUNDER gives you fifteen. Every tier follows the same rule: fewer images, and every one of them something you'd actually use, whether that's one strong portrait for LinkedIn or a full library for a website, a deck, and a press kit.

What should I wear?

Dress as the best, most confident version of yourself. Show your personality. Try to incorporate at least one of the following into your outfit: color, pattern, texture, layers, or accessories. Bring 1-2 options if you'd like, but keep changes minimal.

A few things to avoid: all jet black or all bright white head-to-toe tends to wash out skin tones and flatten the image. If you love an all-black or all-white look, add visual interest through texture, pattern, or layering.

What about hair, makeup, and grooming?

Come camera-ready. Your hair and grooming should feel like the best version of you. Think how you'd show up for a nice dinner or a fun night out, just slightly elevated. Keep it true to your everyday style. Avoid anything that feels out of character or over the top; the goal is confident, comfortable, and authentically you.

For makeup, think clean, classic, and polished. If makeup is your thing, lean in. But keep it consistent with how you normally look. Eyes are always a great feature to highlight if you want a little extra presence on camera.

Do I need experience in front of a camera?

No. Most people who book Portrait Day have never enjoyed being photographed. You'll be directed throughout your entire session. Show up, trust the process, and let the team do the rest.

Is my deposit refundable if I can't make it?

Deposits are non-refundable. Because Portrait Day offers a limited number of sessions each quarter, your deposit holds a specific date and tier, and once it's paid that spot isn't available to anyone else. If your date changes or gets canceled for any reason on my end, you'll get a full refund of your deposit.

What if I'm running late?

Portrait Day runs on a tight schedule. If you arrive late, your session begins whenever you're ready and ends at your originally scheduled time. We cannot push into the next session. Come early, come ready, and you'll get every minute of your time.

Can I reschedule to a different date?

Portrait Day happens once per quarter, and this quarter that means one of two dates: Friday, October 2 or Saturday, October 3, depending on final demand. Once your date is set, sessions cannot be moved to a future quarter. If you need to adjust your time slot within the same day, reach out as soon as possible and we'll see what we can do based on availability.
